I had a mastectomy 10 years ago, but still get stinging shooting pain where there no longer is a breast. Is that normal? Or something else? Anyone else have this problem?

I hope there is someone here that can help you and replies to your questions soon.

I’m wondering why I take Anastrozole everyday when the half-life is 50 hours. I’ve had three fractures in the past two years, and I’ve had osteoporosis since 2000. Anastrozole makes my osteoporosis worse. Is compounding Anastrozole with a long half-life contributing to these fractures?

Ask your oncologist if you can switch to Tamoxifen, which is not as prone to making osteoporosis worse.

Hi Perry:
I am to do Endocrine Therapy, Tamoxifen for 5 yrs after 3 wks radiation. I will not be able to function. I am like a walking voltage heater, feel HOT when noone else does & wear tanks when every woman around me is wearing shirts up to the neck or turtlenecks in Winter. I don't tend toward a toxic thought life, but its gotten to point where I feel very jealous of women in long sleeves.I do get cold occasionally.this is not normal post-menopause,it is NOT hot flashes. My prim care has not helped me even tho she is excellent & oncologist said this is out of her scope of knowledge. Inundated w appts rel to radiation, can't see an 'OBY-GYN' right now

WHAT DO I do when its time for Tamoxifen??? I think the Endocrine Therapy Dr as well as my oncologist are going to assume I have an attitude. , but I do have to say NO. i will have to live in a fridge if on Tamoxifen.. haha...but TRUE! Forgive such an earful. I'm scared.
What do I do to keep breast cancer fr coming back considering this?

Has anyone checked your Thyroid. One of the symptoms of an overactive Thyroid is excessive body heat. Smple blood test

GM: I am a breast cancer survivor... Unsure, but have you thought of MAYBE getting one of the wrist bands that are for women going through menopause that helps with hot flashes... I know that's not your issue but if it helps with body temperature regulation,it just may be helpful and it's none invasive...

I also have an extensive blood clot in my leg, and tamoxifen is known for causing blood clots. Thanks for the suggestion. ❤️
