I tried both of those and the side effects were just worse than the depression and anxiety I was having. I started having uncontrollable thoughts that were very bad. So I stopped taking them. Doctors think that Prozac is OK. But I'm tried of taking so many drugs. Now I'm on Klonopin for my anxiety and it helps but it's only supposed to be taken for a few weeks and I had no idea about that. I've been on it now 20 years and because I don't abuse it I can't do rehab to get off the drug. I'm stuck with my current situation. I can only rely on God to heal me. He made me so he knows how to heal me.

The drs prescribed to me klonopin 30 years ago. I'm tired of being on this drug and it can create early dementia. It's so hard to get off of I know! I'm decreasing very slowly and my brain is so whacked and I have muscle cramps. I don't see why drs prescribe this crap!

I don't know whether you would have withdrawals after a few months on bupropion (Wellbutrin). I don't know what your experience with the medication would be, since we each react differently to different substances.

These are strong medicines.

Many doctors and other health care professionals, sadly, do not have a lot of knowledge about how difficult it can be to stop these drugs. It is something you have to experience to understand, and most of them have never experienced it.

These medications literally change our brain chemistry. If your situation is dire enough that that is absolutely necessary, I can understand considering them.
Some good advice someone shared with me once is that for any medication, it is best to use the lowest effective dose. Many antidepressants and other medications do not reach full effectiveness until weeks or months after they are started. If I were to take one of these I would choose one at a time and take the lowest dose possible.

Does our brain chemistry return to normal after some time being off of the Anti-anxiety medications?
