Withdrawal symptoms after anastrazole for ten years?

I went off anastrazole after ten years and one week later I got severe fatigue, headaches, hot flashes restless sleep and just overall am off. My oncologist said she’s never heard of any withdrawal symptoms. Curious if anyone else has had this or similar experience after stopping AI?

I have been on Anastrozole for two years after a few years of Tamoxofen.
I am also on Pregabolin for awhile and was advised to taper off slowly as there could be withdrawal symptoms such as yours. I wonder if I should taper off the Anastrozole also when I end it. I am sorry you are having this discomfort.
If your oncologist had no positive suggestion, perhaps a visit to your general dr. could bring you some relief as she/he should investigate these symptoms you are having.

Not a medical professional, but I wonder if it’s your hormones reasserting themselves and adjusting? I would just give it some time. Hormones are powerful! What I’ve learned about them is nothing is forever, both good (adjusting to Anastrazole) and not so good (menopause in general). Hope it gets better!
