You might consider asking for a second test, just in case something went wrong in the treatment or analysis of the sample. Or just wait until the next regularly-scheduled test to confirm. Unless your doctor says otherwise, I'm not sure it's worth making a significant lifestyle change based on a single read.

My doctor just tested me and it was very high. But it is fall dates are in black plums are in and a watermelon and so on I’ve been enjoying the fruits of fall and it spiked my sugar
My daughter told me mother in the Bible it states you have to have a nuts with your dates
I guess I taught her well

Hello @vestor and welcome to Connect!

I can understand your confusion about the triglyceride numbers. The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. My cardiologist ran my lipid numbers, which for years had been within the normal range (with a low-dose statin), and for some unknown reason, my triglycerides jumped up over 300. I mentioned to him that my lifestyle had not changed (no major changes in diet, weight, or physical activity, and no change in stress levels).

So, he added a prescription-strength Omega-3 medication (https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-92326/omega-3-acid-ethyl-esters-oral/details) and after one month, my triglycerides had dropped 200 points. We were both surprised.

This med was not covered by my Medicare Prescription Plan D (I believe it is now), but I used GoodRx and was able to get an affordable price. I certainly can't guarantee that it would give you similar results, but it might be worth a try.
