what would cause spike in triglycerides to abnormal after years of normal testing?
dr watches all my fat indicators every four months

1 ReactionI've seen this once before in my lab results. It turned out my one-time high abnormal triglycerides level was likely an error. My triglycerides had been very good for a long time and I couldn't point to anything that was significantly different.
My next triglycerides lab results -- back to being very good.

6 ReactionsWhen a test result seems weird, run the test again…errors happen and we can be proactive. It possibly could be a very big difference in medical treatments.

4 ReactionsI agree—don’t accept one very high abnormal test result as accurate, especially if nothing else has changed and you’re not feeling any symptoms. Getting at least one more test to confirm is sensible.
