Why am I have a period 10 years after not having o e
I have had a lot of female isusse after I had my kids. I had very heavy periods, ovarian cysts, lots of endometriosis and fibroid. I had my tubes tied and my first uterine ablation around the age if 30. I was good for a while with no periods. Then I started having all the same symptoms, so I had my 2nd ablation at 33. That was good for a while but once again I started having the same issues. Finally my ob/gyn recommended I go on progesterone. That worked fabulous for many years but my dr. took me off that because I'm am 50 now and he a history of blood clots. That was in June of this year. At the beginning of December I started having lots of cramps, spotting and severe breast pain. Well the past couple day I have had major cramps and what seems like a full on period. Still have very tender breasts. Is anyone else going through this? I'm thinking its probably menopause but just making sure its nothing to be concerned about.

Sorry for your troubles, but yes it does sound like menopause. I had the worst cramps ever, they would double me over the pain was so bad. Before menopause I hardly had cramps and had very light periods. Going through the process I had heavier periods than usual too, had to stack the tampons. Hopefully you can check in with your Doctor and get some relief, I went through menopause almost 20 years ago and would think there is more that can be done by now to relieve the symptoms.

It would be good to get testing or biopsy of your uterus lining and hormone level testing to see if you are in perimenopause. Bleeding and tenderness in breasts should stop for a year to be in full menopause. Your on and primary doctor should check to make sure there is no other issue causing your symptoms. If you are still getting periods despite ablation, they may consider an IUD until you are fully in menopause. I am 55 and got an IUD due to extremely heavy bleeding and have it in until 57 (still had bleeding after having Covid when 54).
