Who do you request sputum kits from when you run out?

Posted by healthybon @healthybon, Oct 18, 2023

Hi all.
I went to NJH in July. I'm trying to get more sputum kits, and I get conflicting answers when I call NJH , regarding how I get them to send them to me. My ambassador says dr daley needs to receive a request from me, and another person says dr eddy is my dr. I never get CORRECT responses from them. IT'S VERY CONFUSING.
Those of you who obtain kits from NJH, who do you contact to get them to mail them to you? Who do you talk to when you call there to have them send more kits? Thanks Bon

What all did you have at NJH? I am going there next week 10/25-11/1. I would like a heads up on what to expect.

I went last December. During my my time there, I had an ECG, chest X-ray, hearing and vision tests, blood drawn, a sweat test, a session with a respiratory therapist on each of the first 3 days (and sputum collection), chest CT, a barium swallow test, PT and OT evaluations. There’s probably more that I’m not remembering. Each day, I met with either my doctor or a Nurse Practitioner to discuss daily test results and to ask questions. You are assigned a room for the day and you go back there between tests. Your husband/wife can also wait there with you. Weight, blood pressure, and temperature were taken every morning upon arrival.

After I used the two I received while at NJH (in May) they automatically sent me one last week. I am going back in November so I will try and get some extras then.
