When it is time for hearing aides?

When I have my hearing aides out, I can't hear my wife if she is more than about 10 feet away and not facing me. With my hearing aides I can hear her even when she is in the next room. And the best part is that I'm not always saying "What?".

For me I think it was when I realized I could not hear my grandkids anymore! Since I have been wearing them(going on 8 years) my hearing has gotten progressively worse but the grandkids now realize it and talk to me accordingly. I think it is important to share this with people on a day to day basis just in case I miss something. I teach a tech class to adults and they know my hearing issue and are very forgiving. The important thing to me is my attitude! There are days where it would be easy to feel sorry for myself but have to fight through it. There are millions of people out there who have more severe issues to deal with. I also know that when I go to heaven my hearing will be perfect!
