When do I know my nebulizer Saline is Finished

Posted by picartist @picartist, 3 hours ago

I have several Blue and Red Cups and when I nebulize after fifteen minutes or so there is always some mist coming out of the cup. I asked this of Chatbot and it said there will always be some mist and it is not necessary to get every little bit. This bugs me so I would appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks.

@picartist Nebulizer cups and mesh nebulizers all leave some solution behind due to the design. 1ml is typical, and the dosages are designed to account for it. If you read the "fine print" for most medications (except saline) and machines, they tell you this.

I have the Compressor nebulizer with the mask and the attachment that hold the liquid Ipratropium Bromide and albuterol solution and I know when I am finished by looking at the container that holds the mask and seeing all the liquid is gone .

You can give your nebulizer a little shake and get a couple more inhalations.

@sueinmn Thanks Sue, that makes me feel much better and saves me about an extra twenty minutes each time hanging onto every last drop (Like Maxwell House Coffee).
