What’s wrong with me?
Ever since I had Covid a few years ago I’ve been having what I call episodes. They are like a panic attack but different. I have hand tremors, I shiver, get irritable, lightheaded and my insides are screaming.

So sorry to hear. Do you have Long Covid ? Or possibly ME/CFS? How is your fatigue level? To what degree do your ongoing symptoms reduce your normal activities? 50%?
Here’s more info from Mayo about this:

It sounds like Long Covid to me. I’m going on 3 years with mine, no taste/smell, fatigue if push to hard, body tremors. It’s a common symptom. I hope you recover quicker than I have. You could also have a thyroid condition which is making you cold. Have your thyroid levels checked.
Sounds like a problem with your sympathetic nervous system, which is called the "fight or flight" system. It is mostly controlled by the vagus nerve (your autonomic nervous system)' Try searching for some YouTube videos that teach vagal stimulation exercises. Also, you can try splashing cold water on your face (really). It has a calming effect on the vagus nerve. Hope this helps. Long Covid can really mess with your autonomic nervous system. I've been dealing with that for 18 months.
I agree. I know that this has been traumatizing for me and well, the world right now is pretty traumatizing. I also suggest looking up Polyvagal theory. Cold showers can also help as well as grounding oneself. Concentrating on where your feet are or if your driving, your foot on the gas. Trying to stay present. I would check with your doctor, though, to rule out any physical issues that they can test. I am so sorry. Hang in there.
Thanks. I am already using a grounding pad. Seems to help with my circulation cause my fingers don't get cold anymore when I'm using it. That has to be a good thing. As far as doctors go, my GP has been pretty useless, except for a prescription for the constant pain, which is appreciated. He knows very little about post-covid stuff, and doesn't seem interested in learning. I try to keep reminding myself that long covid didn't exist when he was in med school, but then I start thinking: Dang, you CAN read, can't you? Good luck with everything, my friend. And if you haven't started using Pub Med searches, I recommend it. I have learned a ton in the last 18 months. Knowledge is power (and healing, I hope)
I suggest Dr Paul Anderson.Youtube.He KNOWS what he's doing.Check him out.Been following him now for around 3 years or so.Long covid here...5 years now.On the tail end of it now.Barely ever feel sick.Mind is clearing nicely.I can say I actually feel 'normal' again....truly..I recommend him 100%.Brain fog clearing.I went with some of his advice he gives explaining which vitamins to take to heal and help the body recover from this ugly thing.I really believe his guidance is truly working for me.Plz check him out...he's the real deal.I'm 71 yrs now.I do not feel like I'm dying now.
