What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

@fiesty76 I do love all the little critters. It’s been fun to share what I see though my window...or, the lens of my camera I guess is more accurate. If you haven’t seen the other photos in this group, scroll back through the postings. We’ve all been contributing pics of wild life, lovely spring blossoms, sunrises, etc.. I’ve been trying to post something new daily. We’d love to see some pictures from you too! ☺️
Feel like I'm not going anywhere today, may not get downstairs. Slept well-ish. Used bi-pap 11+ hours! Kept me breathing.
Back and chest/tummy hurt, but I'm ok. Should be fine tomorrow.

A duckie silhouetted in the golden glow of sunset.
Center photo is a Common Merganser. At a distance they’re often mistaken for a loon.
A pair of Hooded Mergansers. They’re so cute, a little larger than a robin. The photo posted yesterday shows a mommy hooded merganser with her huge troupe of babies! She doesn’t look big enough to have produced all those eggs for 20 babies!
The last photo I’ve posted before. 2 male Hooded mergansers with their chests inflated!
They try to intimidate each other with little croaking noises as they bobble back and forth with their chests all puffed out!

5 ReactionsTrying to get a shot out the window at the gold and house finches, robins, sparrows, chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers politely sharing the feeder today. And the dove waiting patiently below for the seeds that drop. Nothing comes out clear enough to post. May have to go to the "bird blind" (aka porch) later and try.

4 ReactionsI just glanced at our feeder and fumbled my camera as I saw a young pileated woodpecker in our tree! Then this fellow arrived -- our first Rose-breasted Grosbeak this season.
