What's outside of your picture window today?
As we get ready for the real winter to show up and COVID-19 still playing a major part in our lives I like to spend moments of my day de-stressing about what's going on in the world today. All I have to do is look out the window and observe some of natures beautiful creatures, how they interact and ponder how small it makes my troubles seem. Sometimes I may even get the opportunity to take a photo or two. How about you? Anything going on outside of your window(s) that you want to share?
For those members that have the ability to size your photos before you upload them to the discussion, may I suggest using the following sizes:
– 500 x 335 pixels (landscape)
– 210 x 210 pixels (square)

And more on the way, then rain 😭 and more snow later in the week 😳
Fall and winter here is what I refer to as “Chamber of Commerce” weather.
We suffer from extremely hot weather all summer so we delight in being able to celebrate the holidays by the pool.
Outside my window I can see, a sapphire blue sky, green grass, trees that actually have leaves, blazing sunshine (always), and birds. The hummingbirds have flown to Mexico by now.
Every once in a while a coyote zips by my patio.
This is the Sonora Desert in Phoenix Arizona 🌵
My husband and I are camping one last time before the end of the year at a state park in Southern Arizona. It’s so quiet and peaceful here. The cool but not cold weather is perfect for enjoying the outdoors.
Beautiful!
This is beautiful and serene! Cheers and best wishes for a Happy New Year!
Thank you! We have a perfect weather for December camping this year.
Happy New Year to you as well!
I see lightning this morning. Thunderstorms here in DFW.
Gray skies and rain here in the Boston area. But still glad to be on holiday from work!
Yes — the Merlin app is amazing.
I use it constantly and find it to be incredibly responsive and accurate.
I too have come to appreciate, just sitting still, and watching the birds outside my window as I have gotten older. It seems early life presses us to look beyond the simple things and the magical mysteries of nature. Songbirds are a gift from above to all of us – we just need to listen and relax. I got a birdfeeder with a camera on it for Christmas – can’t wait to set it up!
Here in east Texas.....lots of thunder storms this morning. I'll stay put and wait it out until this afternoon when the sun is supposed to shine:)
