What was radiated during SBRT and other types of radiation
I'm just looking at what others experience with radiation was. While I was getting radiated, I was thinking what they were zapping each day. Was it different locations or the whole complete prostate each time I laid on the table?
I asked the doctor, and he said that they were radiating the whole prostate each time, not just where the tumor is. Each day it was the same.
Is this what happened to most people here even with IMRT and other procedures?

@beachguy , nice for the detailed report. I wish I would have asked more questions about my treatment. At the end of my treatments, I asked questions to the technicians about how things work, but they were busy setting up for the next patient. I'm not sure if my RO was there during treatments, but I suspect not. I was told the RO setup the plan and the techs executed them, which makes sense.

My RO was there at the beginning of each treatment, but was gone when I exited the MRI room. The Physicist was there the entire time as I recall. That would be a great question though...what is discussed or evaluated between the RO and the Physicist prior to treatment each time.
@beachguy , I don't know, but I would almost think everything was setup from the initial treatment. The machines and technicians are on a script and everything is on automatic. All the important work was done prior to my arrival to the first session. Not sure if the prostate changes shape or size during the sessions or not.
I felt the table move during one of my sessions as my innards must have moved while I was on the table, and one time they manually/physically changed me a bit during one session.
Wished I would have asked these questions while it was going on.
