What type of doctor do you get your PN care from?

I see a primary care physician for peripheral neuropathy. I learn a lot from this group. Curious if whether other people see their primary care physician OR see a specialist. If a specialist, what kind? Thanks.

In 2 days I am scheduled for the "test" Spinal cord stimulator. Wondering why you also needed shots for blocking pain. Does the stimulator itself not block the majority of pain? Also, are you also taking Gabapentin?

Nope...no pain blocks. The SCS together with 1200 mg of Gabapentin are working for me. I used to experience terrible cramps in my cafes.. really bad, but once I started going to exercise classes, both weight training and zumba, most of the cramps stopped. Hard to believe the enormous difference those classes make for me. However....the SCS nor the exercise do nothing for my constant spasms. Ugh, but for the most part they're annoying, not painful. I think everyone has to find their own solutions with a whole lot of trial and error. Best O' luck to you.
