What to do to prepare for Evenity injections?
Does anyone who receives Evenity injections do anything in advance to prepare such as drinking extra water for a day or 2 before the injections, or...? Thank you. I'm receiving my first injections on March 22.

I took an antihistamine (Zyrtec) one hour prior to the injection. That prevented muscle aches I had after the first injection when I had not taken an antihistamine.
I still had discomfort at the injection site as well as some fatigue for about 24 hours after the shot, but no muscle aches.

No coffee the morning and day of the injection.
@lbmorgan44 Suggest getting injection sin abdomen and or thigh where there is more adipose tissue. back if arms for most of us senior/elderly have loose skin. Injection is sc ( subcutaneous) under the skin..Both my doctor and the nurse practitioner suggested abdomen. I had no rash, problem with and injection. Big painful rash and itchiness on arm. I will require and or thigh from now on.
Be sure to hydrate. Take an antihistamine. Make sure the drug is room temperature. My 2nd injection was too cold and it hurt during the injection. Afterwards the injection site swelled significantly and was tender to touch for days. My 3rd injection injection was set out 30 minutes prior to the shot - I asked the nurse to make sure this was done. The results - minimal swelling and pain at the site. Hydration made a difference. Skip coffee prior to the shot. Drink a cup afterwards. I always have some sort of muscle ache approx 5 days after an injection. Just keep moving - it helps.
I don't do anything special beforehand, but I do plan a nap afterwards. I have had no side affects. Recommend shots in the abdomen. 6 shots out of 12 taken. Dr. Appointment this week was great - blood was within her requirements.
