@katie2543 Great news that are you taking the step of committing to the 2 week pelvic floor program. Being nervous is totally understandable. The people helping you understand this and are pros at making you feel comfortable!
I have been through the 2-week program in MN and cannot say enough praises! Your job will be to show up and be ready to learn. You may get some “homework” in addition to your therapy appointments. This will be straightforward and your very comfy clothes truly is all you will need. The only other packing you’ll wnt to do is for what you will need for your down time when you are not focused on therapy. Rochester is a nice place with a variety of options for your down time.
If you are comfortable, what are you hoping to take aware from your pelvic floor therapy experience? When do you leave for Rochester?

3 Reactions@jlharsh We have been to Rochester a lot over the last year for appointments, therapy, and testing. This will be the first time I am actually staying up there for longer than 3 days. So I will be bringing my dog. She is an ESA animal, so it will make things a lot easier on my anxiety. I am really just hoping to be able to poop normally. We celebrate around here when I poop 😂
I have a ton of other health issues. I have a TBI, so my brain is not telling my colon and bottom to work at the same time.
I just did not know if I needed to get a butt pillow or anything like that. I will already be packing my ice packs, heating pad, and all the other things I need because of my other health issues.

2 Reactions@katie2543 It sounds like you are all set! If it were me, I wouldn’t buy anything ahead of time. I suspect if you find you need something they will have it available or know how to get it by the time you need it.
You mention your hope is to be able to poop normally. The great news is you are headed to a commitment that should provide payback in that direction. I hope you will eventually be celebrating A LOT!
Keep me posted. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into. I’d like to stay tuned in and hear how you are doing.

1 Reaction@jlharsh I sent you a private message. But I am hoping it will also help with my bloating, and gas and nausea
@katie2543 Bloating, and gas and nausea sure make problems with bowel movements miserable and hopefully, more for you to celebrate when you begin feeling better.
I will say this: My 2 weeks did not fix my problems. My 2 weeks allowed them to figure out what was happening with me, and to teach me tools & techniques I would bring home. I practiced at home and this became the foundation we built on. I remember being told without making sure the foundation is working properly any other efforts in other areas wouldn’t be successful.
I don’t want to discourage you but don’t want you to have unrealistic expectations, either.
