What is this faux tonsilitis? Swallowing: throat/ear pain, prob. cut

I have this sharp ear and throat pain that can settle down and become more or less unnoticeable. I thought it was an infection, then tonsil stones, but I just took a look in the mirror and discovered something unexpected and interesting. I have attached the clearest pictures (inside of mouth: tongue, uvula, throat) of what seems to be a red cut or infection laterally next to my uvula, specifically, it's on the flap of flesh in my mouth that stretches/protrudes when I fully stick my tongue out. Either something I don't understand is happening, or this is the (now very irritated) piece of my mouth I accidentally bit with my wisdom teeth while I was chewing gum the other day. I presume it's that, but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas from the pictures/symptoms. It's pretty fine undisturbed, but even drinking water can irritate it. I wonder why it's not healed if it was a bite, can it be disturbed/infected? Any insight and advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi @blazepotentia, it sounds like you need to seek the opinion of a medical professional. Have you been to see your doctor or an ENT specialist?
