Hi!. I saw this post just now. I know its kinda late to reply but i want to share my personal experience with a husband who had gout. 2012 he had a severe attack after slipping on a wet floor. Started from his big toe then spread out to his heel then the following day to the other foot and reached his knees on both legs after another day. Inflammed like elephant feet. Since we had flooding and storm during those times we had no way to go to the hospital. I desperately googled gout and thebest home remedy... i came across a website talking about baking soda. After reading testimonies from people who tried it, i tried it to my husband. After a week his infflamation gone down and was able to walk and continued another week. Gout is gone. Never had any attack evesince. Now whenever we feel any pain in our joints we take baking soda water...
If you want to try. This how my husband took it.
¼tsp every 4hrs diluted in a shooter glass with 2tablespoon water. Drink it follwed by 1 glass of water. For straight 2weeks ONLY. You have to have 1week rest before taking it again for 2weeks in case you feel there still swelling.
For minor pain and swelling like at the onset of an attack you may take it once a day just like how i take it at night before bed. Even up to this day we opted for baking soda whenever we feel body ache and pains. It makes our body alkaline.
I am a little confused. I have never heard of gout from an injury. Did he have gout before he fell and injured himself?
