What insoles/inserts help with numbness in feet?
I came across some insoles (called thinsoles) by a company called Project Biotech. I have been using these for about a year, now, and they are great for the numbness in my feet. I'm one of those who, so far, doesn't have a lot of pain with my radiculopathy/neuropathy in my feet. My main symptoms are numbness and tingling... and some balance issues that I believe to be related. These thinsoles, as the name implies, don't add a lot of volume to my shoes.... but the surface of these silicone inserts gives a certain sensation on the bottoms of my feet that seems to help with the numbness. I'm not here to sell these to anyone.... I have no interest in this company at all.... but these inserts have truly helped me "feel the ground" better... and I'm wondering if anyone else here has tried them. And if so, what do YOU think of them? Soft, cushy inserts seem to increase my balance issues. These inserts don't do that. They simply seem to "wake up" a bit of the numbness in the pads of my feet. If sharing this info is not appropriate for the group, I hope one of the admins will delete this post. But IF you have used these inserts from projectbiotech.co I'd love to hear your thoughts. Or if you have found OTHER inserts to be especially helpful, I'd LOVE to know the name. My podiatrist recommended Stride Rite ... and I have those... but they seem to be too stiff/hard. I also have some $200 inserts that were especially molded to my feet, but those don't offer much help to me at all. Best wishes! Mike

Hi Mike, thanks for reminding me of these as I had some years ago and liked them.
A year of Chemo has left me w severe foot neuropathy and numbness.
I've done a search for these Thinsoles and can't find them at all. Company site says Sold Out. Do you remember your source?

I'm in the market. I think. But what I would also like to know if any women here like HOKA Clifton 9 sneakers?
I'm starting to feel more than just tingling and numbness, so I invested in a pair of Brooks Ghost sneakers. It was suggested that I size up by half a size and try a wide width. This has proven to be a good fit. I decided to look for a second pair of decent shoes and opted for HOKA. They do feel bouncy but not exactly cushiony. I still have time to return them. I somehow think that no one shoe will be perfect. My issue with the HOKAs is that after 6 hrs or so, they feel hard on my soles. So, I might like to try an insole. Thoughts?

Hello!
Not the Clifton, but I’ve had my best luck EVER in finding a shoe that didn’t increase both pain and numbness with the HOKA Bondi 7 in a wide. The model is a few years old at this point and I have no experience with the newer models, except one pair of the Bondi 8. Very similar fit but seems to be just a tiny bit tighter all around. Enough difference that I won’t buy another pair of that years model.
I’ve bought several pair through eBay with varying degrees of success. It’s never going to be perfect when a show is broken in and molded to a foot other than your own! 😉
As an FYI, the same site that recommended the Bondi 7 for my feet also recommended the Clifton, but the Clifton 5. I’ve been meaning to try a pair.
Anyway, best of luck in the challenge to find “Your” shoes…I hope this info helps, even if just a little!
God bless you, sister!!!

@pah17 Hi, I have idiopathic large fiber neuropathy, numbness, tingling, burning and loss of balance are my chief complaint, no pain and I am thankful for that. I am always on a quest for shoes that help. I wore Hoka Bondis for years, however a few months ago I went to a very good running (HAHA) shoe store. I told them about the balance issue and they suggested the Hoka Arah 8, I fell in love, yes I bought them. I also wear Power Step insoles, podiatrist suggested them. This combo works for me. I do have to change shoes 2 times during the day, my feet like to be out of enclosed shoes for a while. The sandals that work for me are Kuailu, not expensive they are on Amazon, also their slippers the furry ones are the best! I wish everyone with this awful neuropathy the best. Keep moving and keep up with the latest tech stuff and just do and wear whatever keeps you comfortable, I have founf that there is no 2 neuropathies are the same. I have done better from reading suggestions on Mayo Clinic, its the best!
@domiha I think I may try these, but at the moment, they are out of stock.
I use Nabosco since Last November. I purchased the Nuero sensory insoles and socks from Amazion so I could return them if They didn’t help. I Watched Dr Emily Sperlich YouTube channel where using her products helped a woman who hadn’t walked in 2 yrs to walk. After that I bought the Nuero ball and stick. These two items have reduced my feet feeling numb by 70%. And I,have regained better balance, but tingling has returned. I feel that’s the effect of the nerves awakening.
