What brought you joy today?
If you've been living with cancer for a while, you know it's not all gloom and doom. Where did you find joy today? I'll start:
1. Working in my garden.
2. Meeting my daughter for tea.
3. Home-made pizza for dinner.
4. My spouse (always).
5. Some interesting online discussions.
6. Rereading a good novel.

Great to hear!
Since my diagnosis for lms-r
I have tried to jump back in to my usual activities and kept to our planned winter getaway. This brings me joy. I also allowing myself to grieve. Hard to do the balancing act between grieving and continuing. But as we know there is "no cure for being human"
I recently retired (70). the last 6 months at work was very stressful and I was so worn down. Now, it's only been a few weeks and it's been such a big turn around. Stress has melted away. I've been riding my stationary bike every day and doing stretches. Before I was feeling too old and worn out. Now, I actually have a bounce in my step. My spirits have been lifted to new heights. I understand, everyone saying to exercise, but before I just did not have the energy to do so. Now I just feel so much better. And North thanks for coming up with this post, allows us to share our good times. Best to all.
Koke,
This sounds so nice! Walking with your dog and a beautiful full moon too! I like your attitude about living day by day with your cancer. That's so important. Praying as you do is essential! God knows of your situation and he will make things work for you. I'll say a prayer for you.

@sistermarcy @j0318 Your good news make me happy. Thank you for sharing. Hugs.
A clean MRI for CNS lymphoma, good labs/checkup with my Mayo oncologist, a great parking space at the clinic (not easy to come by…), and no scans for another 3 months….life is good.
Hi, @sistermarcy.
Congratulations on your good reports. I think every victory or improvement is reason for gratefulness, joy, and celebration. I love the title and subject of the talk you gave at your parish because I have learned through my experiences and situations that joy truly is a choice. And every day, no matter what the day brings, I try to choose joy, as I have found that joy always beats sadness and despair. Best wishes to you!
So joyful for the next three months…my PET/CT scan came out NED and my C125 numbers went from 178 in November to 31 as of this week. I know that my stage 3c Ovarian cancer is not cured however I’m joyfully enjoying the good works of my caring oncologist. I gave a talk in my parish called “Choose Joy.” I’m doing my best to take my own advice!!!
Ahhh…while walking the dog this am, the beautiful full moon!
Such beauty to behold to start my day! Life with cancer is best for me to live day by day and I am so blessed for each day and not feeling that bad🙏
Praying for all of us!
Hi, @northoftheborder.
I agree with you. Thankfully, cancer patients today have more and better treatments than cancer patients of previous generations, and many of these cancers are being successfully treated and even eradicated. More than ever I hear patients exclaiming that they are cancer free, and that just brings me so much joy and happiness for them.
I stand with you in counting on Orgovyx and Apalutamide to keep your cancer away. Best wishes to you on this journey as we look forward to cancer being "a thing of the past" someday.
Thanks everyone for cheering for my good news. Love to be in the company of caring people. Best wishes and hugs to all.
