Was your breast cancer misdiagnosed by a radiologist?

I am just curious. How many of you have been misdiagnosed by a radiologist. Was it on your mamo or an MRI...or something else? How many were told you did not have breast cancer when you did?

@coco46 I did the same with the survey. I also lodged a formal complaint with the hospital. I don’t know if anyone cared, not one person ever responded.
I am so glad that we have had Mayo in our lives. We have never encountered this at Mayo.
I am glad that you are getting care for your breast cancer. I was also in my 30’s at diagnosis, but Mets came much later after a recurrence. The good news is we are living longer and have more time with better quality than ever before.
Are you now being treated somewhere you feel you can trust to have your best interests?

@auntieoakley Unfortunately where I live I don't have many options of where to go for treatment. They do care about treating my cancer but they don't care about my quality of life, so it's a constant battle and I am steadily on the losing end. After 2+ years of steady complaints being ignored and seeing lies written in my file over and over about how I have no side effects and no complaints, I finally had one lucky visit where I saw the LPN instead of my oncologist. She actually listened to me and finally got some of my side effects marked down in my file, so they can't all be totally ignored anymore. After stopping taking one of my medications for a month because it was making me feel increasingly ill, my oncologist finally agreed to try lowering the dose. It really shouldn't be that hard to find balanced care, where you are treated as a whole person, with feelings and other medical issues besides cancer. Sadly that is all too often the normal scene at your average cancer center. Cancer is big business and cancer patients are a commodity.
