Wart on finger?

Posted by London2016 @london2016, Aug 1, 2016

I can't post a photo. Is there a way around this? I have a lump that has appeared on my finger looks similar to a wart. Not ever had a wart before.

Have you talked to a nurse about this? Or tried any over-the-counter wart remover? Here is some common info on warts: http://mayocl.in/1KVPtKq.

There doesn't seem to be an upload photo feature. A GP yesterday said looked like a wart but to me looks like a blister. I was told to leave it for a week and if it doesn't go they can spray it. It looks smaller today which makes me think it could be a small blister?

One possibility. I had something resembling a cyst or wart (about the size of a pea) appear on the outside of my right index finger, near the joint below the nail. It did not hurt but was rather unsightly. I saw an orthopedic doctor who removed it . . . and to his great surprise it was caused by a thorn. To my surprise it was not removed in his office but in a surgical room. Perhaps that is common procedure.
