Visual Escapes and Daily Inspirations: Share Yours
Let's create a space to offer a daily reprieve.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty and fear into our lives. Some of that fear and uncertainty can be caused by over thinking what is going on or unnecessarily worrying. So, I'm making sure I wash my hands frequently, not touching my face, staying away from social gatherings and all of the recommended guidelines to help avoid getting or spreading COVID-19 but it can be a little boring. I try to not watch news all day long while I'm in this self imposed captivity. I like to take pictures of birds and other creatures from my window as a welcome break.
I invite you to join me in sharing pictures, favorite poems, sayings, mottos, funny moments. Let's take a daily break together.

So it being Thursday, I dug through one of my old thumb drives and found some critter pictures taken at my computer room window. These photos were taken 15 tp 20 years ago. I'm always paying attention to the window during the day because my cat uses it for his convenient doorway in and out of the house. One morning I caught a glimpse of what I thought was one of my older cats and without hesitation started opening the window. You should have seen how fast I was cranking to close the window when I saw it wasn't a cat.
The second photo of a walking stick was actually the first time I saw one in the wild. I had only seen pictures before...really weird to see it traversing my window. The third one seemed to be a critter that just liked to watch someone working while enjoying his nut from my hickory tree.
@johnbishop, I'm sure he finds your work most interesting! You do a great job keeping the animals entertained and well-fed!
I love this Sue. I was raised on a farm and it gave me a big laugh. Thank you for the funny thought. I can just see the cows that I grew up with and they did did not keep their distance.
We concluded that the distance was food related-tgw grass is still small and sparse.
@johnbishop Not gonna lie, that top critter is my arch nemesis when it comes to my gardens!
Found this awesome sky in my backyard last year. I love looking for nature's beauty nearby.
I have this guy sitting on a flat rock on our front path.

@zeiracorp, I'm playing "catch-up" with posts and just listened to the link you posted, "5 Minutes for ..." Thank You So Much for this get it done fella' ! Rough language aside, his "it's never the right time" talk was just the kick in the rump I needed to become more productive during these uncertain times. Really worth the listen. I'm pumped!!!
