Virtual or other Long COVID support group meetings

Posted by diverdown1 @diverdown1, Mar 13 8:10am

I have been on this page for awhile now. Does anyone know of any virtual Long COVID support meetings? I found one through HeyPeers, but it only meets once a month. Hang in there everyone!

Interested in more discussions like this? Go to the Post-COVID Recovery & COVID-19 Support Group.

Unfortunately, I do not know of any scheduled groups, but I am in a few Facebook groups that occasionally have virtual meet-ups. I would be interested as well.

I would welcome having a virtual support group.

It is an especially useful and informative website, so it can be helpful in seeking information about Long Covid and ways to cope with it. Unfortunately, when I went to the website, I found no connection to support groups. If there is one, please let me know how you can get to it.

Check out this group - they should have a support group.

I would love to have a support group out there. Long Covid has changed my life forever and the lives of many others . We lived through the virus, but now we all have to live with the effects of it. We need to be here for each other, because there are so many out there that never had covid or the vaccines, and they think we are making this up, when we have tests and they come out negative. We do not want them to find out any more problems , but we would like to have some answers.

I totally agree. If anyone knows of a support group that is specifically devoted to Long Covid patients, I would love it. I do participate in a dysautonomia support, which has been very helpful, but one specifically devoted to Long Covid would be really appreciated.

I have observed groups are listed under “support”
https://www.longcovidawareness.life/
but haven’t explored any of them

I found one on a site called HeyPeers. You need to do a search on their site. I am looking for others as well.

I have reached out to an online forum with the National Association of Social Work to either elicit forming a possible support group. This is so needed for myself and all of us. I will keep you posted if I receive any feedback. We may just need to start our own. Hang in there everyone.
