vibration plate
About a year ago I got a vibration plate, basically you stand on it and it shakes you. Sort of like the shaking they recommend in tai chi to wake up circulation. I only do it for 5 minutes on low first thing in morning before I do tai chi and it does help me with circulation and balance. I am 75, have back degeneration and 2 hips replaced and neuropathy. It is not a magic fix but my walking has improved (especially outside on unpaved trail with dog). It came with all sorts of stretchy bands and I am wondering if anyone has experience using this thing.

I have spasticity and have been getting 9 minutes of vibration therapy twice a week at PT. I’ve gone from not being able to tandem walk (heel to toe walking, like the drunk test) to walking 9 steps. My PT and rehab doc are filling out paperwork to see if insurance will pay for one. Anyone with suggestions as to which one is best? My PT says 22-26 ( I don’t know frequency units, maybe hertz) are what’s best for me

Laura, if you look under the subject heading of Osteoporosis you will find another large discussion about vibration plates. I also like the information on the melioguide.com.
I am unsure weather this discussion will be exactly what you are looking for be ause it focused on bone health not specifically spine help.
@gravity3 thanks!
