Vaginal Dryness Solutions

Posted by leesal123 @leesal123, Nov 25, 2022

Good Evening! Question for all, I was taking anastrozole for ADH diagnosis but had to stop because of side effects. I am left with extreme vaginal dryness and atrophy thanks to the med and menopause. What do people use to help? My doctor( GYN and breast surgeon in agreement) has prescribed a low dose vag estrogen cream( pea size 3 x a week), but I need something topical too for the in between days. I am overwhelmed by the choices on the market and the whole trial-and-error process. Also trying to find one that is paraben free and properly pH balanced. I wish there was a vitamin one could take to solve the discomfort! ugh. 🙂 Please know I am not looking for medical advice, just trying to find out what is out there and what has worked for some. I just stare at the aisle in the store and online pulls up so many options. I have been very frustrated. I figure women need to talk about this kind of stuff to get help.

I’m just curious how you apply the virgin coconut oil, is it only for external area or can it be used internally too. Also I would like to know if there are any specific brands that you would recommend for coconut oil.

I use AH! YES
It at least doesn't have all the bad stuff in it. I also when it flares up really bad on me I sit on ice packs or sleep with one. It does give me relief. I'm getting ready to start radiation and AI so I too have been searching relentlessly
For something to help.
They can send a man to the moon but can't find anything except more estrogen for us.
Hope you find something to help you

I agree and honestly found Replens cheaper and easier to get as at CVS! Ah Yes didn’t really help and one gal mentioned Kirkland Organic Coconut Oil -any others. I’m desperate and at 58 yrs and year on Letrozole my team said fine to start Estrodial (sp?) cream 2 a week!

I’m just wondering if all this moisture is going to cause a yeast infection. Hope not.

Replens has been helping. I use it every three days. Also use coconut oil outside the vagina. Also do palates to strengthen pelvic floor. Seems to be helping but I understand everyone is different so may not help everyone.
