Vacuum erection device/pump recommendations

Posted by oldgreenpaint @oldgreenpaint, Mar 3 7:33am

I tried doing a search, didn’t come up with any old threads on this, but there surely must be some? What I am looking for is a pump recommendation or even a Don’t buy That statement. Just trying to survive ADT.

My surgeon suggested going to the Menmd website, to get a quality pump, they have 3 to choose from $99, $199, and $299 which is battery powered.

@jeffmarc I bought one a year or so ago which is battery operated and has 4 levels of vacuum. It was under $50 and I would say well worth it. Adorime penis pump on Amazon. It had been several years since my RP, so it seemed a little uncomfortable at first. That changed pretty quickly as I became used to it. Mine came with rings to keep the erection up that kind of work... Getting the pump off your penis impacts your concentration... I like that it has several vacuum levels and you don't need to pump by hand, so you don't need to worry about either of those issues. Buy one. You need to make sure you get good contact with skin to maintain suction - make sure your pubic hair is out of the way.

Thank you very much men. I’ll tell the Why in hopes it helps others. I had back surgery in Sept 2025, then PC treatment starting mid Oct 2025. It started with ADT. So last time I had meaningful intercourse was Sept. or about 5 months ago. I have learned not nearly enough about trying to maintain penile health. I was doing 5mg viagra up until radiation (December ) but that nailed me badly and I was on Flowmax up until a couple weeks ago, so didn’t do Viagra together with Flowmax, as they both drop blood pressure. So Mr Johnson has been neglected. Started the 5mg Viagra again last week. It definitely makes a difference, and wife and I gave it a go.

It was painful for me, and I couldn’t continue. Discovered upon examination that the skin just behind the circumcision had torn in a few places, probably due to not being used. So, I better use it or I am gonna lose it. My plan is a pump, used sparingly at first, along with some special penile ointment.

That’s my story, embarrassing as heck, but it is what it is.

@oldgreenpaint
After using the pump for about six months, I got a rash on my whole penis from the lubricant required for the pump. That was no fun and took a while to heal.

@oldgreenpaint Don't be embarrassed, because I think we are all here for support. Kudos to you and your wife! I can tell you from way back in my 20s, I tore some skin because my GF and I were going at it and were too dry. If you haven't tried using a lubricant during sex, it might help.

Greetings Everyone!
Though this is and can be embarrassing for us, it's a fact of our lives now and sharing valuable learned information can be quite a value. I like researching to see what people are saying prior to making purchases and this was a popular model....so I ordered one. I can't see any drawbacks whatsoever and it is very well made. They have a long warrantee also. I hope it's ok to add a link to my message.

The restriction rings that come with this pump I found to be very painful to use so I tried these blue rings below. It's an extra cost but well work it. Not really painful due to the much softer material and they are wider.

Since a person doesn't know what size will work, I ordered all three sizes to be safe.
I know a person can get set up with a pump with these rings on this site with a pump other than what I bought and save money. I'm just letting everyone know what I've used and have been impressed with.
Good luck to all....we are all in this challenging situation. There is so much more I could say on this subject...
