@tconz, if you decide to try the Mucinex, perhaps start with the 600 mg extended release twice a day (12 hours apart) and see if that helps. You can always go up to the 1200 mg dose if it's not as effective as you'd like or if you're having an exacerbation. I get it at CVS in the 100-dose package. Good luck!

This is what I use, we buy it in 500 tablet bottles on Amazon because my husband, who also has bronchiectasis, takes it too. I have it on a subscription, delivered every 4 months which makes it very affordable.
We have tried the generic versions (timed-release) and find them not as effective; in addition one brand gave me heartburn when taked at night.
