Urinary and Fecal Incontinence due to Stenosis

Is anyone suffering with incontinence due to spinal stenosis? I’m becoming housebound because of it. Is there any help for these problems? I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis a year ago and began an ablation, but had to delay it due to other medical issues. Now I have fecal incontincnce that keeps me in the house most of the time. I’m an 84 year old female and hate to sit around like this.

Thank you for your reply. I’m bringing the MRI with me to my appointment next week. I hope there is something that can be done to eliminate this problem!

Unfortunately I also have cervical stenosis with both bowel and bladder incontinence while sleeping.
I'm a light sleeper though when I wake I have no control. It's happened a couple of times awake but still my spine doctor doesn't seem concerned

I'm a 33 year old guy. 3 years ago, I had an inguinal hernia. Before my hernia, I loved having coffee. It helped me poop. I had a lot of "feel good" poops before my hernia. Now since then, it's been almost hard for me to poop. I haven't had a "feel good" poop in a long time!

Welcome @alexm1992, I had a bi-lateral inguinal hernia surgery 4 years ago and I'm having the same issue with the no feel good poops after my hernia surgery. I did have constipation once in awhile prior to the surgery but now it's pretty much the norm. Miralax helped for awhile but it's a proverbial crap shoot for me now. I'm 83 now so guessing age is playing it's part in the journey also. I keep putting off visiting a gastro intestinal doctor but it may be in my near future. What is getting me through is trial and error with senna tablets along with trying to eat more fiber.
