Unusual frequent urination

Posted by aliali @aliali, Jan 20, 2019

I am a twenty-year old man who is having depression. I saw that I move to the toilet very frequently; I then thought that I have diabetes because depression and diabetes may accompany each other. My examination results were pretty good and indicates that I do not have diabetes-thanks for God! The question I am asking myself these wis what issue I am suffering from that causes me to undergo frequent urination. You know, for a depressed person, evern such a question would irritate me much and would make me feel overwhelmed! The physicians here in Saudi Arabia are poor when they come to diagnose; if the problem is already known, then determining the treatment is not a big deal. What do you recommend? What are the possible problems witt me? Are there any recommended examinations you may mention?

Hi @aliali, please note that I moved your message to the Kidney & Bladder group (https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/kidney-conditions/) I agree with @lioness. A urologist would be the specialist to seek counsel from. Are you able to make an appointment with a urologist in Saudi Arabia or get your doctor to make a referral?

Here is an article from Mayo Clinic listing possible causes https://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/frequent-urination/basics/causes/sym-20050712
This list may serve as a conversation starter with you and your doctor who knows your medical history. Please don't make the mistake of thinking you have any of these issues and making yourself sick with worry. Let us know what you find out.
