Type 1 diabetes and lexapro?
I started 5mg lexapro last night. Today has been horrible!! I have type 1 diabetes and my blood sugars have been off the charts, and I haven’t eaten anything all day.
Really bad headaches, light headedness and feeling nauseous.
I’m being treated for trauma, so I’m also taking 30mg fluoxetine. Highly sensitive to these meds. Not sure whether to continue! Thoughts? I will talk to my psychiatrist on Monday.

@graylake Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. How concerning, to be going through all of this. It is almost 24 hours since you posted, how are you doing right now? Have you been able to stay hydrated? The headaches, light headedness and nausea could be from not drinking enough proper fluids for you, do you think?
When the medications were filled, were there any thoughts by the pharmacist as to when to take them, anything to watch for, etc?

Today has been a little better. I increased the amount of water I was drinking. Blood sugars are more stable, thank goodness. Still dizzy when I’m moving around.
I’m hoping that will dissipate.
Thank You.
