Two new hearing aid makers

There are two new hearing aid makers: one prescription and one over-the-counter (OTC). They both show great promise.

Fortell hearing aids were first made available in late 2025. Hearing Tracker.com gives them their highest ever rating.

The OTC is Anker. They will be made available early in 2027.

The hearing aid industry has been dominated by five companies. These two new ones are injecting much needed innovation into the competition.

I for one am always interested in any new hearing aid maker. OTC hearing aids don’t really interest me because I have severe to profound hearing loss.
I would love to know more about Fortell hearing aids. I currently have Phonak I90 Sphere Ultra hearing aids and they have been the best I have found for hearing in noisy environments. They have an extra chip which enhances conversations in today’s restaurants which seem to be getting noisier even for my friends who say they don’t have hearing loss or are blessed with mild to moderate hearing loss.
If anyone out there has any experiences with these new hearing aids I would love to hear from you. In fact I look forward to it.

All of the articles on Foretel have been outstanding. However their current distribution system is very limited. They have a NYC storefront and I read they will open 3-4 more. But not through audiologists. Has anyone heard differently? Mike

@mikepa, According to Fortell's website, there are currently three clinics, in New York City, Palm Beach FL and Greenwich CT, with one opening soon in Boston MA. However, they also offer their hearing aids for sale, and fitted, remotely.
