Trigeminal Neuropathy vs. Trigeminal Neuralgia: Is it the same?

Hi @earringsbylulu11, That would be a great question for a neurologist who can speak in layman's terms. I found a simple explanation that I think is what it boils down to on a pain and spine clinic's site:

"Neuropathy is a nerve condition that often can result in feeling pain, numbness, tingling, swelling, or muscle weakness in different parts of the body. It usually begins in the hands or feet, and gets worse over time. Have you asked your surgeon if a redo of the MVD surgery is possible or would help with your pain?

Yes, I spoke to two neurosurgeons and one neurologist at Mayo clinic, They suggested I do not do any kind of intervention surgery.
In a year or two I was told that maybe my pain will go away.
I am working with a local MI pain clinic, still in pain. My neurosurgeon in MI said there is nothing he can do concerning my issue.
