Waking up after good nights sleep but shaking and anxious and feeling of dread

Welcome @marjoriedeline, There have been mornings that I've woken up a little anxious and dreading the day but I haven't had any shaking feeling with it. Hopefully others with some experience can share some information. I did find this information along with some possible suggestions that might be helpful.

"The most common reasons for experiencing tremors or shakes when waking up are low blood sugar levels and anxiety. It's hard to know the exact cause without a thorough examination, so you should contact your GP to get checked, as these symptoms could indicate an underlying condition."
--- Why do we wake up shaking? Common causes and tips: https://www.axahealth.co.uk/health-information/heart/i-wake-up-at-night-shaking-with-my-heart-racing/.

I think the first thing I would do if it were me is discuss it with my doctor. Have you talked to your doctor about the symptoms you are having when you wake up?

@marjoriedeline you did not mention what drugs you are on-several drugs can cause anxiety and I'm sure other drugs can cause tremors - or it could be a combination of drugs. If you have a the ability to write your doctor a note on a portal, I would encourage you to do so and not wait till the appointment. If no portal access then call their office and leave a message. It may be a simple problem or it may be complex. I am not a strong believer in suffering in silence or on my doctor's timeline - personal preference.

Shivering in the evening was the first symtom I had when my PMR and GCA started. But they were cold shivers, not shaking like tremors. Every night around dinner time I would shake horribly, sometimes for 2 hours. Took hot showers and climbed in the bed with a heating pad, but it wouldnt stop. 2 weeks into that is when the night sweats started. Sweat like never before. Had to stand the mattress up and put a fan on it to dry it. Finally put a plastic cover on it. Never had morning tremors but did end up with severe depression.

I've experienced shakiness and occasional tremors in the morning, and daily a.m. blood sugar checks don't show that as a cause. It has been worse during weaning, but usually subsides a few hours after my morning dose.
