Trelegy Ellipta

Does anyone have used this inhaler? My pulmonary doctor prescribed me one, after reading all the side effects I don’t feel like using it.

Just trying Trelegy Ellipta. I’m on day 10. I do not have a diagnosis yet but pulmonologist prescribed to calm down “asthmatic bronchitis”. I see him again tomorrow. I take once a day, in the evening, I can sense when it is getting close to time. I’ve slept most of the nights without coughing spells.
I agree the side effects, if present, are alarming. I’ve not experienced any that I know of. I think being a bit foggy is it. (Also on Prednisone 40mg).

I am on Anoro because Trelegy contains a corticosteroid which should be avoided, if possible, with MAC.

@mjb24 The exception to the "no steroids" policy is for those of us who have asthma as well as bronchiectasis - keeping the inflammation tamped down is a paramount concern in avoiding exacerbations. In my case, I went from 3-4 exacerbations per year before Symbicort to 3 in 3 years while using it. And my cultures continue to be negative. We have discussed what would happen if the cultures became positive again, and my pulmonologist said we would probably continue the Symbicort because it is so helpful for my Asthma.
