Treatment options for Metastasis to Peritoneal
Trying to locate solid information sources and studies regarding treatment prior to next appointment. I’d like to be able to ask halfway intelligent questions and be able to evaluate options. (Radiation seems to be off the table.) Probably no silver bullet, just looking for best available science.
Thanks in advance!

This is a real difficult problem. The cancer could be spread across the abdomen, which would Make radiation impractical since it could damage a lot of important organs. Yes, in some cases where it’s very isolated they could use SBRT but you need to speak to the doctors about this.
A treatment for this can frequently be chemo or even Pluvicto.
In some cases, they could even use surgery, But getting all of it could be difficult.
There is no simple answer, You may want to get a second opinion after your primary treatment options are outlined.

1 Reaction@jeffmarc 2nd opinion is in the works. Systematic chemo plus laparoscopic injection of hot aerosol of chemo into the cavity is mentioned by some. They can physically look around and take samples to study histology of cells and see how they are responding to treatment. Go home same day repeat every 6-8 weeks for awhile. Makes sense.
