Good luck CHP. Most of the guys here have dealt with the emotions and medical issues that you are beginning with and frankly, we understand. We probably understand better than our doctors understand as we are on the front lines dealing with our life’s uncertainties. I have recently purchased Michael
Milken ‘s diet book for fighting cancer. When Milken was in his forties he was diagnosed with PC and his prognosis then was a year or so. He did research and then completely changed his diet. He is now 77. The things that he wrote in his book are in line with, but more detailed than what my oncologist has told me. I am following my doctors instructions AND following the diet in this book. I feel better, actually, doing what I can to help myself and my family. I am optimistic (most of the time). More than 2 years ago, after RP, I was told that my prognosis was 4-5 years. I have been off of all meds for 9 months and my PSA is now and has been .01
I am planning and hoping and working on beating my prognosis by many many years, much like Michael Milken has. It is a battle that is worth fighting and one that we all must do as best as we can. Perhaps you can chat with your doctors about the benefits of a change in you diet. Best of Luck!

@hbp Is this the Michael Milken diet book - The Taste for Living Cookbook, published in 1998? I only see "used" editions. Is there a newer edition still being published?

That is the book that I bought and I don’t think that there is a newer version. Amazon has a 3 set series of diet, smoothy and something else of Milken’s diet books for $41 and that is what I purchased and we are still digesting the recipes. My wife and I are following the principles of the recipes and diet but making some variations to make the preparation a bit easier but not so much easier as to negate the diet to fight cancer. Best of Luck!

Has anyone taken Nubeqa? How well did it work, and any side effects?.

I have been in Nubeqa for 12 month now, other than very little hot flashes (drink soy milk to reduce side effects) no other side effect! No fatigue, go for it with confidence

I’ve been on it 4 months, couldn’t tell any difference when it was added to my Leuprolide and chemotherapy.

I had to go on disability because I worked for 7up which was a physical job. I had the worst type, aggressive prostate cancer. I worked for awhile after the prosectomy but then found out I had serious bone mets on the back my neck and spine that were crumbling. Many spots on my rib cage. That's when the chemo began and my doctors recommended that I go on disability because of everything. They supplied all the necessary forms and I was approved quickly. Thankfully the Mets on my neck and spine healed thanks to xgeva. I can't lift anything heavy. I ts an ongoing battle but chemo does knock you for a loop. Urinary incontinence is also a problem. Everyone is different but look into everything and decide for yourselves. Good luck.

I am on Erleada plus Zoladex injections and have the same problem with feeling tired. Sometimes I sleep for 15 hours a day but still feel tired.

@agustinferrari

Ask your doctor about docetaxel, combination of the 3 shows much better results

By better results do you mean less side effects? I am on Erleada and Zoladex and my PSA is undetectable but I'm tired all the time. What might docetaxel do for me?
