Hi @januaryjane Here is a link to an article on travel tips written by an MD who has dealt with chronic illness.

Anything you can do to lessen stress will be helpful. Get some earbuds and tune into a meditation app. Ahead of the trip, intentionally spend 10-15 minutes picturing successful travel in which you feel calm and healthy. Those things have been helpful for me. I wish you safe and healthy travels!……Marianne

I havent flown much but when I did I got elevation sickness from the pressure, my head was throbbing, ears didnt pop. Also, had major jet lag, and thats when I was 17! Im going to try afrin for the congestion this time. I hate to travel just because of my chronic stuff and how I feel. Im tired a lot so, its a lot of work for me, and I hate that! I want to do stuff, but I also want the comfort of my own home. It just gives me anxiety, especially the pressure to "be normal", if its real or not. I dont want to ruin anyones mood. Sorry, just nervous, hope i can hold up.

I'd like to bring fellow members, @kittykiernan @hahnsolo @sherryntn @mattkl817 and @mrmie, into this discussion as they may have tips for you when traveling with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and not being able to lie down and rest.
@januaryjane, what concerns you the most? What comfort might you pack with you to ease the discomfort of plane travel?
