I just want all transplant patients know that they sure have come to the right place. I'm now out from my transplant going on 24 years. Mayo saved my life. I'm so grateful. Coming to the right place makes all the difference. They are the best. My only suggestions are these, Do stay at the Transplant House, it is definitely a home away from home. It is so nice for the caregivers, especially when the transplant in in the hospital. Also, sign up for Caringbridge so you can leave one message and tell loved ones to go on the site to hear about updates. I also made a pyramid of names, so my daughters had only to call two people nd they were to call two, etc, as so many people asked to hear the news. It is such a good way to keep all informed, with little trouble. It went real well. It was amaaing how many people asked to be informed. I received over 100 get well wishes sent to mem, amazing. @bellestar Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! What a wonderful post, and full of helpful ideas, too. May I ask what organ you had transplanted?
