Tramadol and bone pain

Posted by 1995victoria @1995victoria, 19 hours ago

My pain mgmt doctor rx'd tramadol. I take one at bedtime. For 2 nights I fell asleep before taking the tramadol, and next day felt very depressed for no reason. That night I took the tramadol and next day depression was gone. I'm wondering if the depression was caused by missing the medication? I should mention the bone pain is from chronic blood cancer (essential thrombocythopenia)

I take Tramadol and never notied a connection. I get a couple hours of small "feels good" boost in the morning and that's it.

@1995victoria Yes, some people do feel depression when stopping tramadol. And recent research indicates tramadol use may increase risk of depression

You might want to ask your doctor about this, especially if it happens again.
