Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) after treatment completed
Hi,
I have completed my prostate cancer treatment and have maintained an undetectable PSA level (≤0.03) for the last 12 months. During treatment, I received Zoladex 10.8 injections for a few months, which caused me to gain weight around my stomach.
I am considering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture for weight management and to help alleviate the side effects of Zoladex. Do you think this approach is beneficial? I’ve heard that TCM can assist with weight loss and promote overall body cleansing.
Thank you!

Hi Ededed - do you have a preferred source for obtaining turkey tail mushroom tea?
I would like to follow your lead. Thanks!
I have a lot of trust in Paul Stamets and Fungi Perfecti and his line of Host Defense products including Turkey Tail and Lion’s Mane mushrooms. https://hostdefense.com/collections/turkey-tail-supplements
However I usually purchase the Host Defense mushrooms from Vitacost dot com because they often have discounts and have a lower threshold for free shipping.
Also, my first impression of Paul Stamets was through a movie that features him called Fantastic Fungi. It has great photography and time lapse video sequences. The movie’s section on Turkey Tail is towards the end of the movie. It was available to view on-line from Netflix and other services.
I have done a lot of research reading professional medical journals and although I don’t necessarily understand all of the biochemistry in the articles, the upshot is that the mushroom has a role in fighting prostate, colorectal, breast and a few other cancers.
I also forage in my local woods and collect Turkey Tail mushrooms. I then make a week's supply of tea in a crock pot and refrigerate it until I finish it.
Thank you for reaching out to me and let me know how your journey progresses.
