Total Ankle Replacement

I am six weeks post surgery with a Total Ankle Replacement. I would like to hear about what to expect going forward, your type of prosthesis and how you are managing beginning to walk again.

@mrmikebr I wore Hoka’s for 4 years after my TKA then when I was getting my orthotic they had Propet shoes and you can find them on Amazon. I have been wearing them for a year now and they work just as well and not as expensive.

I'm 5 weeks post TAR surgery. I never really had any pain. The only pain I had was from the swelling inside the cast. Raised my foot above my heart and the pain went away.
I'm so sick of the knee scooter. It is my right ankle so, I can't drive. Well, my wife will not let me drive. I'm not used to be so dependent. I have one more week and then, I'll be in a boot.
I cannot wait until the 31st.
