Tinnitus Increase After Loud Event
I saw an audiologist recently who said my hearing is fine but I could get hearing aids for my tinnitus. I stupidly went out to a club for a few hours for the first time and didn't use ear protection. Now I have had ringing in my ears for several days, almost a week. There is also sound sensitivity and pain from sound. I really am scared I ruined my ears for good and I don't want to live with this pain. Will some of it subside over time if the event was extra loud? Is there still hope it will get better?

The ENT doubted that was the cause, but that is when it started. Or, when I noticed it.
Now, a head cold seems to be making it more pronounced.
