Tinnitus has gotten a lot worse as I age.

I am at the point where I want to "scream". At first, it started with the high pitch sounds, then the noise has turned to what sounds like a chain saw, & a lawn mower. Sometimes it's quiet, other times it's louder. I'm tired of wearing hearing aids & thinking towards cochlear implants. Anyone on here have cochlear implants? What are the pros & cons? How well have they worked for you? Is there anything else out there instead of hearing aids? Any gadgets? I'm tired of getting frustrated with all this.

Have you received any treatment advice for tinnitus? People have mentioned eliminating some things from their diets has helped, but the information varies. I suggest you go to the website for the American Tinnitus Association for more information. http://www.ata.org

Tinnitus is often associated with progressive hearing loss but not always.

@julieo4 Thank you. Years ago I was just fitted with hearing aids that has some music included to ease the tinnitus. I will definitely look into to see what foods may make my tinnitus worse. Thank you.
