Time for Sunday Meeting?

Posted by gooddaughter @gooddaughter, Jan 28 1:14pm

We joined the Wednesday zoom but understand there’s another on Sundays. What time please? Same Zoom? Thanks.

Our EC Zoom calls never change:

Sundays, 9am Eastern
Wednesdays, 6pm Eastern

ID - 455 028 4795
Passcode - tuiBE5

And you know the format... and the rules... we don't really have any. We talk about whatever topics come up, try and help in any way possible. We have a mix of patients and caregivers, young and old, stage 1's thru stage 4's, many have had esophagectomies, some who have not.

Be well,

Gary

Is it possible to change the standing time for the Sunday calls? 9 am edt is 11 mdt and we are in church at that time. Thank you for your consideration.

Highly doubtful... after more than 250 of these twice-weekly calls (been doing these since May 2021)... and I'm just 1 of 7 of our core group of advisors... these folks have also arranged their Sunday schedules around these calls. For me in California, these calls are at 6am, but I never miss, even when I was in Australia visiting a fellow patient.

BUT... not a problem having a special session for you, in addition to our twice weekly calls... we've done these many times, for ourselves and for others. Just say the word... pick a date and time... in fact I'll meet you on Zoom in 30 minutes from now if you'd like. And you can have my cell phone if you'd like (this is how I do 85% of my counseling... along with FB video messaging)... maybe 20 hours per week. Just say the word. We're all just trying to help each other on our miserable journeys.

2018 symptoms started.
Stanford & UCSF failed to diagnose for 3.5 years.
GP 12.2021 ordered endoscopy showing advanced squamous cell EC cancer.
5.2021 Mckeown surgery.
Followed by 1 miserable year, monthly ambulance limo.
CA thoracic surgeon repeatedly stated surgery was “perfectly functional”.
Dr Molina at NY MSK provided relief with 04.23 corrective surgery.
Intermittent return of symptoms 11.2023…back to MSK in March 2024.
New Dr said”I should be dead”. Happy to report I am not!

Are there opportunities to meet support people in person? I’m a low tech CPA, old fashioned and crave some face to face time. Going thru unexpected bad depression with some symptoms returning after an incredible year - more physically fit than before cancer & boom… what a let down. Nickname eternal optimist so this is hard.
