Tightness feeling

Posted by mamalinda61 @mamalinda61, May 22 6:23pm

I have a question for folks that have had the surgery. It's 2 weeks tomorrow for me.. I feel like I have a corset on and it is so tight. Is that something anyone has experienced? It is so uncomfortable. I have been feeling it in the last 2 days.

This might be the nerve pain. After my VATS surgery I often felt that I was wearing a bra 3 sizes too small. You might talk to your doctor about an Rx for gabapentin or Lyrica or something similar.

I go in on Tuesday and I will be discussing it for sure.. the best way to describe my pain is mastitis. It's excruciating.

I haven't felt that but i have felt tightness on the side I had the surgery. Certain movement feels tight too. I also have an issue that when i lay on my left side the right side where i had surgery hurts. I found some good gentle chair type yoga stretches on MD Anderson you tube. I've only done twice so far. I also did a zoom chair yoga. It did help. My issue now is my shoulder. Hurts often if I am reaching for things.

I also have tightness or fullness. I wear a sports bra but even sometimes those are uncomfortable. It's not pain just uncomfortable. I feel greatful they have caught my lung cancer. This was 2 yrs ago. Stretch class and walking is what I do. Helps me feel better.

I’m wondering if anyone has experienced their gum tissue sloughing off? Apparently that’s happening to me, and after an online search, it does seem to be a symptom or side effect of some of the immunosuppressant drugs. I was on Carboplatin (no longer though), Alimta and Keytruda.
Would be interested in hearing from others with this problem. My dentist hasn’t ever seen anything like it.
