throat tickles

Posted by terryswife @terryswife, Aug 16, 2020

Ive had this cough for about 3 years. My ent could not find the cause, also the pulmologist could not find any also. A tickle in throat which makes me cough ,Needless to say, I am miserable. Tryed almost everthing under the sun to quiet the feeling..

I have never had any problems like you discribe. However my aunt had a chronic cough which turned out to be a food allergy. She went to an allergist in San Francisco who changed her diet. Her cough all but disappeared. Her’s also began with a slight tickle.
Take care,
Jake

@terryswife I have the same problem with the coughing. I believe its related to the sinuses but will live with it. There may be medications to help but I do not want to live on a daily dose of pills.

I 'm willing to try anything at this point. I've done everything else, so I will give this a shot.

I had something like that for a long time, too! I believe mine was related to nasal drainage in the back of my throat (which felt like a tickle), which caused uncontrollable coughing & it would sometimes cause my nose to run & my eyes to water like crazy! It seems like it’s gotten better since I got my tonsils and adenoids removed. I had chronically inflamed tonsils & have seasonal allergies that I think compounded the problem.
