Schizophrenia symptoms: What helps?

Posted by gseaborn @gseaborn, 2 days ago

I get headaches and was wondering what items others have used to help with it. In addition, what other items do you think are essential when dealing with schizophrenia?

Hi, @gseaborn. This was a great discussion to start that I imagine will be helpful to others.

Interestingly, I noted on Mayo Clinic's page about schizophrenia https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/schizophrenia that it stated:

-What you can do
To prepare for the appointment, make a list of:

Symptoms your loved one is having, including those that don't seem related to the appointment.

As such, it sounds as though there are symptoms of this condition that may not appear related on the surface of things.

I'm also tagging Mayo Clinic Connect members who have mentioned schizophrenia in their lives or the life of someone close to them to see what input they may have about any schizophrenia symptoms they or a loved one has experienced and what helps with them @razorclams @frouke @georgette12 @lisaben @mlor @johnbishop @megan123 . @bonniethompson1234 also may have some thoughts to add.

gseaborn - wondering how you are managing the headaches you mentioned?

Well, right now, I don't have any ways to manage the headaches, their quite painful sometimes. I haven't tried advising or other pain relievers because it seems like it wouldn't help. Some natural remedy recommendations would help if anyone has any.
