Thick, sticky mucus film on eyes
I have periodic problem with sticky white mucus and film over the eye. It's really severe. It lasts for weeks and is becoming debilitating. Vision is extremely blurry with halos. Can't read, see the computer screen or drive without having to wipe my eyes with a wet cloth to remove the film. Opthamologist says it's allergies. Just had an allergy panel done and it came back negative. I use individual eye drop vials, eye wash, and olopatadine drops. Those only provide minimal relief. I don't know where else to turn for help.

I have had a similar thing from allergies, inflammation and dry eyes. Are you own anything for dry eyes like prescription Restasis? Has your doctor tried prescription steroid drops for your eyes? If this is inflammation, the steroid drops will clear it up.
Praying for you. It took me months to get cleared up one time and mine was a combination of dry eyes, allergies and blisters under my eyes lids. It was very painful.
Blessings....
Where do you live? You might try an eye hospital near you. Mine is in Philadelphia, Wills Eye. Doc might give you antibiotic eye drops.
