Testicle is swollen suddenly

Posted by vasek802 @vasek802, Sep 8, 2023

my testicle or I believe my epididymitis got swollen and it got worse last day.

I've been tested couple of days ago for STI and it's negative.

But I have UTI

I took cirpofloxacin as prescribed from the doctor for the UTI.

It's dull pain, especially at night before i go sleep.

Any advice before I go to hospital?

Or is it normally goes away with antibiotics?

Thanks so much for help

Hello @vasek802, Welcome to Connect. It sounds like you have been on the antibiotic ciprofloxacin for a few days. This is a question you should ask your doctor. Did your doctor give you any instructions on what to watch for and call if your symptoms got worse?

I am a 74-year-old, insured male who has noticed one testicle is swelling. What can cause this, and how can it be diagnosed?

Thank you for your response. No, I have not discussed my issue with my PCP. While there is no pain involved, I am the caregiver for my disabled wife. I'm not much, but I'm all she has. (joke) I wanted to see if anyone else has had any experience similar to mine. Again, thanks for your reply. Dmatdude

Go to a doctor, preferably a Urologist!

I understand, @dmatdude. I'm sure that your wife wants you to tend to your health concerns too. Right?
